Assemblyman Chris Norby will not be facing a primary challenge as James Gerbus, who started the filing process, did not finish it as the 5pm deadline passed.
Norby will be facing Green Party candidate Jane Rands who officially qualified for the ballot today.
Norby may be facing a Democratic challenger, but we will have to wait until Monday to find out. Democrat Esiquio Ramos Uballe returned the paper work today but has not officially qualified for the ballot yet. This probably means that the signatures on the nomination form still have to be verified.
Update (March 17): Democrat Esiquio Ramos Uballe has qualified for the ballot.
