"Assemblyman Curt Hagman has been appointed to the Assembly Insurance and Judiciary committees.
Hagman, R-Chino Hills, said he wants to pursue legal reforms that eliminate "costly junk lawsuits."
"Such lawsuits cost jobs and make California a very expensive place to do business in."
"In these new roles, I will fight hard for balanced reforms that will create jobs, lower costs for small businesses and protect Californians," Hagman said.
Hagman already is Republican floor manager, responsible for representing Republican interests on procedure and process on the Assembly floor."
